With the influenza season fast approaching, immunizers once again find themselves in uncertain territory. This session aims to cover multiple topics to help immunizers prepare for their vaccine clinics this fall, including what to expect for influenza this season in terms of influenza epidemiology, the importance of maintaining population immunity against influenza, and strategies to address vaccine hesitancy and to increase vaccine acceptability and uptake among all healthy and high-risk individuals. The latest changes to national and international vaccine recommendations will also be discussed to help immunizers recommend the appropriate vaccine options for their patients.
