The Relationship Between Mental Health and Substance Use During the Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all Canadians and increased stress on many fronts. The impacts of the crisis on Canadians’ mental health are becoming increasingly clear. Furthermore, alcohol and cannabis use has also increased. In partnership with the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) and the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA), Leger has been conducting ongoing polling to monitor how the pandemic is impacting Canadians' mental health and substance use. On April 29 at 12 p.m. (noon) Eastern Time, join us for a webinar on the relationship between mental health and substance use during the pandemic. Llisa Morrow, Senior Research Director, Leger will share a short presentation about our latest survey findings. The presentation will be followed by a panel-style discussion moderated by Andrew Enns, Executive Vice-President, Leger, featuring two special guests: - Michel Rodrigue, President and CEO, Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) - Dr. Robert Gabrys, PhD, Research and Policy Analyst, Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) Following the discussion, we will hold a brief question and answer session. We hope to see you there! --- This webinar is free to attend, but you must register to participate. Not available when the webinar is scheduled?
