As we approach our upcoming Practical Project Management training in collaboration with Leading Edge Group, we're excited to share a key concept of project management – the Theory of Triple Constraints.

Ever wondered why some projects thrive while others struggle? One pivotal concept in project management that holds the key to success is the Theory of Triple Constraints.

This theory revolves around three essential elements: scope, time and cost. These three elements are like a project's backbone, shaping its limits and leading to its success. Here's how they're connected:

  • Scope: The defined objectives and deliverables of a project. It’s what needs to be accomplished and any changes can affect time and cost.
  • Time: The schedule or timeline for project completion. Changes in scope or cost can impact the project timeline.
  • Cost: The resources (financial and others) required to complete the project. Alterations in scope or time can affect the overall project cost.
Understanding this theory is crucial as changes in one area can affect the others, emphasizing the need for careful management and balancing to ensure project success.

Explore the Theory of Triple Constraints and become equipped with other essential project management tools and concepts such as project charter, project status report, SMART objectives, etc., by joining our live online instructor-led Practical Project Management training that is commencing on November 22nd, 2023.
