Addressing Health and Health Equity with Green Space, Trees and Transit Service

This webinar will feature case studies of strategies sed by public health organizations to advance policies that address population health, health equity, and climate emissions in their communities. This fourth webinar will showcase how: 

• Peel Public Health has been addressing health and health equity with their work on green space, parks and tree-planting; 
• the City of Powell River has improved service and health equity in their community with their On-Demand Transit Pilot project; and 
• the Nova Scotia Community Transportation Association will describe how it has improved health equity across the province through its intra-municipal and inter-municipal transit service provided to rural and remote communities.

Ce webinaire présentera des études de cas sur les stratégies utilisées par les organisations de santé publique pour faire avancer les politiques qui traitent de la santé de la population, de l'équité en matière de santé et des émissions de gaz à effet de serre dans leurs communautés. Ce quatrième webinaire montrera comment : 

• Peel Public Health a abordé la santé et l'équité en santé grâce à son travail sur les espaces verts, les parcs et la plantation d'arbres; 
• la ville de Powell River a amélioré le service et l'équité en santé dans sa communauté grâce à son projet pilote de transport en commun à la demande; et
• la Nova Scotia Community Transportation Association décrira comment elle a amélioré l'équité en santé dans toute la province grâce à son service de transport en commun intra-municipal et inter-municipal fourni aux communautés rurales et éloignées.
