1. Patient optimization/preparation is a key to success 2. What are the hurdles when implementing an ERAS-outpatient program? 3. The factors of success to implement an ERAS-Outpatient program 4. How to avoid failure? (to discharge or return to ER) 5. The patients' satisfaction should remain our main goal 6. Q/A Session (20 mins)
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will be able to… a) Identify key points for the implementation of a pre operative optimization program minimizing adverse event after outpatient surgery b) Describe the peri operative factors affecting patients’ satisfaction after outpatient hip and knee replacement c) Propose strategies for minimizing the number of discharge failures and returns to the emergency room after an outpatient hip and knee replacement.
