NCCDH is hosting two workshops on Power & Health Equity. This is an opportunity to expand on and apply the ideas described in NCCDH recently released Let’s Talk: Redistributing Power for Health Equity. During the interactive session, participants will learn about and apply power analysis tools based on the Three Faces of Power framework. Participants will be able to choose from a range of relevant topics and explore them in a breakout group.

Topics may include:

  • Climate Change & Labour
  • Housing
  • Food Security
  • Environmental Justice
  • Decent Work
  • Immunization

Workshop Objectives:

  • Explore power and its relationship to health equity work
  • Apply power analysis tools to practical examples related to relevant topics
  • Develop strategies based on a power analysis to advance equity in your work.

Who should attend?

This webinar will be of interest to public health and community health practitioners, policy and decision makers and public health leaders.

Event Format and Registration

We encourage all participants to review the Let’s Talk: Redistributing power for health equity prior to attending  the workshop, as this content will NOT be reviewed. Instead, in the workshop, the content will be explored further and applied to practical examples and topics. The workshop will be “hands on,” with most of the time spent in active discussion in small groups.
