The 2022 Report of the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change: Policy Brief for Canada

The 2022 Report of The Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change is a comprehensive yearly analysis produced by 120 experts from 35 institutions and tracks progress on key indicators of the impact of climate change on human health and the world’s efforts to minimize it. The Policy Brief for Canada provides country-specific recommendations by leading domestic experts to highlight areas in which leaders and policy-makers should focus to develop a healthy response to climate change. The authors of the Brief will present its recommendations and engage participants in a discussion on turning them into action. Co-presented by the Canadian Medical Association, the Canadian Nurses Association and the Canadian Public Health Association.

L’édition 2022 du Lancet Countdown sur la santé et les changements climatiques est une analyse annuelle exhaustive réalisée par 120 spécialistes de 35 institutions, suit les progrès d’indicateurs clés des impacts des changements climatiques sur la santé humaine et les efforts mondiaux pour réduire ces impacts. Le Compte rendu à l’intention du Canada présente des recommandations pour notre pays, formulées par des spécialistes canadiens de premier rang, qui indiquent les aspects sur lesquels les dirigeants et les responsables des politiques devaient se concentrer pour préparer une saine riposte aux changements climatiques. Les auteurs du Compte rendu présenteront ses recommandations et engageront les participants dans une discussion sur leur mise en œuvre. Présenté conjointement par l'Association médicale canadienne, l'Association des infirmières et infirmiers du Canada et l'Association canadienne de santé publique.
