Waves of Endemicity: Mathematical Models of Disease Persistence in Populations

  • 26 May 2022
  • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Webinar

This webinar will examine how mathematical models have improved our understanding of disease persistence in populations and explore how models of endemicity may be applied to evolving COVID-19.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will learn about:

  • The implementation of mathematical models in exploring endemic diseases
  • The value of understanding outcomes of endemic disease models for public health
  • The applications of mathematical modelling in the context of evolving COVID-19
  • Future opportunities for public health and mathematical modelling research in the context of endemic infectious diseases, including COVID-19

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

Registrants are encouraged to submit questions of interest prior to the webinar to wendy.xie@umanitoba.ca.

Access Instructions

Instructions will be posted on Eventbrite and e-mailed to all registrants prior to the webinar.
