Promoting the Health of Older Adults: The Canadian Experience

Description

With the editors: Irving Rootman, Peggy Edwards, Mélanie Levasseur and Frances Grunberg

This timely book takes a unique look at health promotion and aging in Canada by providing evidence-based content from experts in gerontology, health promotion, and public health, as well perspectives on aging from older adults themselves. Chapters include content on policies for an aging society, housing, community development, older persons in Indigenous, immigrant and LBTQ2S communities, health literacy, mental health, physical activity, healthy eating … and more.

This event will be of interest to educators, learners, practitioners, advocates for older adults, researchers, and leaders in government and not-for-profit sectors as well as health professionals working with older adults in health promotion, public health, gerontology, recreation and other disciplines.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

This event is co-hosted by Health Promotion Canada and the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health (NCCDH).
